Mary Ann Simpson was born on January 25, 1949 to the union of Annie Lee Trumbull and Nelson Simpson in Inverness, MS. Mary relocated to Chicago, IL in 1952.
Church Affiliation: Mary attended West Side Community Missionary Baptist Church where she ushered and sang in the choir.
Education: Mary attended Brown Elementary and McKinley High School in Chicago, IL.
Employment: Mary worked in many capacities. She was employed at a local daycare center, Montgomery Ward, and within the Chicago Police Department.
Mary “Ann” was the rock of the family. She was a natural caregiver, tradition keeper, conflict resolver and heart and soul of our family. She loved her nieces and nephews as though they were her own.
Preceded in Death: Parents - Nelson and Annie Simpson, Brothers - Richard Simpson and James Cannon, Sister - Annie B Cannon, and nephew Anthony Cannon.
Born into Eternity: February 19,2026 in Chicago, IL.
